After 7 weeks of focusing on San Francisco scenes I needed to do something lighthearted and whimsical.I decided to make a collage of my granddaughter’s hot pink cowgirl boots!

First I drew my image onto a canvas and then I searched for papers in my color palette of choice.In collage this is the equivalent of choosing your paint tubes and squeezing out your paints onto your palette.I took care to choose different values and a variety of shades and patterns.I then glued my papers onto the canvas using acrylic gloss medium.
